FOX’s production of Gambit has hit a bit of a snag it seems, as it is being reported that the director attached to the feature, Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Gambler) is no longer apart of the film.
Gambit, starring Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street, Magic Mike) and Lea Seydoux (SPECTRE), had had its production date pushed back from November to March of next year, which constituted in a conflicting time schedule with Wyatt’s other projects.
Wyatt had this to say about the issue:
I was very much looking forward to working with my friend Channing and the team at Fox, but regrettably a push in the start date now conflicts with another project. I thank them for the opportunity, and I know that Gambit will make a terrific film.
Gambit is scheduled for release in cinemas on October 7th2016
