civil war captain america. samuel l jackson not appearing. marvel. the action pixel. @theactionpixelWith all the cliffhangers and teasers dangled in front of us like a donut (I do love donuts), Marvel has been laying it on thick when it comes to the dismantled SHIELD organisation. And it seems Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson in the MCU, is feeling the effects too.

nick fury poster. Avengers: age of ultron. the action pixel. @theactionpixelSamuel Jackson, it has come to light, won’t be making an appearance in Captain America: Civil War. This is mainly due to the fact that he is contracted for only two more Marvel films, and may be saving the character for the big daddy Avengers films Infinity War Part 1 & 2.

Jackson spoke with Collider about his confusion for not being put up to Civil War:

I’m not in Captain America 3. I can’t figure that out, but I’m not. I guess I’m still out there, trying to figure out what happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. and who these other people are.

But even though he was left out of Civil War, there are definitely no hard feelings as Samuel Jackson has stated he wants to “re-up” and extend his contract with Marvel.

See Nick only has one eye, we’ll keep the other one out for any more developments on this. Yes, we are just cruel.

Captain America: Civil War is directed by the Russo brothers Anthony and Joe who also directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The film returns Chris Evans (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron) as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America along with Robert Downey Jr. (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3) as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: The Winter Soldier) as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: The First Avenger) as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: The Winter Soldier) as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3) as The Vision, Jeremy Renner (Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Avengers) as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3) as Jim Rhodes/War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Godzilla) as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.

The film is also set to star new talent like Chadwick Boseman (42, Get on Up) as T’Challa/Black Panther, Emily VanCamp (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Revenge) as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds, Bourne Ultimatum), Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Warrior) as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones, William Hurt (A History of Violence, The Incredible Hulk) as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies).
