Beyoncé and Marvel?!
It’s reported by The Daily Star that Marvel studios is looking to the pop star Beyonce Knowles to join the Avengers in a role.
We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalogue of comic book characters.
That was said by some unnamed source. A senior executive at Disney, apparently.
So, all in all, this could be a big steaming pile of nothing.
But if in the odd case that this is somehow true, what would be her role? And given her diva status, she surely will only be coming on board in a major role with lots of face time. If not, we may have another Gate Five situation.
Her lawsuit issues with Gate Five, the video game company that learnt first hand what working with Beyonce was like, was settled out of court for millions. Mucho dineros. She backed out of the deal with the company because she wanted ‘extortionate demands’ after the initial agreement was made and signed off by both parties, forcing the game company to drop 70 people from their core work staff during the holidays and having the project Starpower: Beyonce scrapped.
But as long as both parties know what they are getting into, again if it is all true, things should be fine. Oh a flurry of demands could come in after the agreement has been signed off on.
