Superior spiderman. marvel. The action pixel. @theactionpixelWith Spider-Man finally making a homecoming to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, there has not only been philosophical masturbatory thoughts on who should play the web slinger, but what version of web slinger we would actually see.

With all the speculation and rumour surrounding the possible rumour of MCU’s spider-man possibly being Miles Morales, Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige puts to rest all debate in revealing Marvel’s plans. Spider-Man is Peter Parker.

spiderman reveal. civil war, sony, marvel. the action pixel @theactionpixelYep, according to Feige, Spidey’ll be in high-school and will focus on a Spider-Man in full swing dealing with his responsibilities as opposed to a lot of Spider-Man films that have started by focusing on his origin story:

It will not be an origin story. But, with great power comes great responsibility. It is inherent to who his character is. But we want to reveal it in different ways and spend much more time focusing on this young high school kid in the MCU dealing with his powers.

To top it all offFeige goes on to say they are even giving MCU’s Spider-Man some new threads:

…we’ve already designed the costume, which is different than any of the ones that have come before. And yet ours is classic Spidey, as I think you’ll see,” Feige said. “Spider-Man we knew about when we were doing that announcement in October. It could have gone either way, and Marvel as you well know doesn’t announce announce anything officially until it’s set in stone. So we went forward with that Plan A in October, with the Plan B being, if it were to happen with Sony, how it would all shift. We’ve been thinking about it as long as we’ve been thinking about Phase Three.”

Only fair I guess. And just in time for Civil War.

Spider-Man first appearance is likely to be in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War come May 2016, with Sony’s standalone Spider-Man movie premeiring from Sony in 2017
