AMC creating Vertigo Preacher series; Dominic Cooper stars

AMC is set to produce Preacher series, as you know hails from DC Comics’ imprint Vertigo and things seem to be kicking off. Apart from Seth Rogen co-producing, AMC have employed actor Dominic Cooper as the bad-ass Preacher Jesse Custer to save our damned souls and take us on the quest to find God… literally

Synopsis reads:

Preacher centers around Jesse Custer, a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), the three embark on a journey to literally find God.

Ian Colletiti has also been cast as Arseface.
