supergirl Superman. the action pixel. @theactionpixel.Albeit, from a casting call, it seems CBS’ Supergirl series are on the search their version of the Man Of Steel.

Producers are looking for a photo double that is 5’11 or taller and has a ripped physique. Sounds like someone familiar? Additionally they are on the look out for (Wonder? [I guy can dream])twins to work on an upcoming scene filming on the Supergirl TV pilot.

The synopsis did mention Superman in passing but not for a moment did we think he would appear, but rather be an unseen influence, especially seeing the series wanted to paint Kara Zor-El as an independent strong, standalone woman who’s a bit of a detective.

Synopsis of Supergirl reads:

Based on the DC Comics character, the drama tells the story of Kara Zor-El, who was born on the planet Krypton, but escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin Superman. But now, at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

Supergirl TV series is slated to debut on CBS Autumn 2015

So what do you think. Will Superman’s presence steal a bit of Supergirl’s thunder, or could him being present in the series will be a bit of a tie in with DC’s feature ventures, maybe to up the shows popularity? Let us know in the comments below.
