Denis Bouyer’s Meet Buck

We all have our bad days. Sure. But then there are those one-off days where the universe rises from its slumber and says “let’s fvck with this guy today”. We it seems Buck takes the brunt of the the universe’s sick conspiracy in the animation Meet Buck.

Synopsis reads:

Buck is an ordinary guy. Well, if you accept the “deer head” thing.
Today, Buck is going to spend the afternoon with his girlfriend who’s so happy to see him (she’s pretty much happy all the time). But when Buck finds out that her father is not the tolerant and sympathetic guy he expected, the Sunday afternoon turns really bad. Really bad. Like baaaaaaad bad.

A very succinct animation with a unique render, its a perfect merger of the classic and the contemporary. Beautifully paced and sound design not too shabby too. But we’re still trying to figure out how Buck gets his helmet on.

Meet Buck is directed by Denis Bouyer, Yann De Preval, Vincent E. Sousa and Laurent Monneron, with sound design by Julien Begault and music by Yannis Dumoutiers and Mickaël Védrine.
