Hawkeye set for an appearance in Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Jeremy Renner (who plays Hawkeye in The Avengers) has said some time ago that he would possibly be making an appearance in Marvel / ABC’s TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Clark Gregg who plays Agent Coulson in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D steady adds to the rumour mill and teased fans by posting a single image on his Facebook page:

The comic panel comes from Marvel Comics depicting Agent Phil Coulson caught in the sights of Hawkeye, bow and arrow in hand.

It’s always a possibility that Hawkeye could be portrayed by a totally new actor, but we’d love to see Marvel tie in all of her existing elements in the cinematic universe.
