“God Of War” news brings direction as production reveals director for the first episodes

The God Of War live action series begins its ascent towards the realm of a shared reality as Amazon Prime has allocated a director of the first two episodes.

Frederick E.O. Toye has been pegged to direct the first two episodes. Emmy-winning director  is renowned for his work on FX’s Shōgun series as well as Amazon Prime’s The Boys.

And with the God Of War action-adventure series from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios is in it for the long haul, with multiple seasons already greenlit for production

The current season has entered pre-production, and the new director will join the current showrunner Ronald D. Moore, the series’ showrunner, writer and executive producer.

Things seem to be shapoping up after the recent creative overhaul that saw the likes of Moore being brought on board to take control as showrunner last autumn.
