The legacy of Jin Sakai will not be felled by sword or by time just yet as the Ghost Of Tsushima game franchise is set to take on entirely new haunts. Sony has announced that the Sucker Punch game is set to inspire a new movie, which is currently in development.
And it looks like they already found the director to helm the development of this project. Chad Stahelski will be taking the directorial lead; many may be familiar with Stahelski’s work directing John Wick. Yeah, that little film.
The Playstation 4 hit game followed the legendary story of Jin Sakai – a warrior and samurai who takes up the sword to fight for the liberation of his home – the isle of Tsushima.
Here’s what Asad Qizilbash, Head of PlayStation Productions, had to say about the game film adaptation news:
We’re excited to be partnering with Chad and 87Eleven Entertainment, to bring their vision of Jin’s story to the big screen. We love working with creative partners like Chad, who have a passion for our games, ensuring we can create rich adaptations that will excite our fans and new audiences
Swords drawn! Done right, it should be pretty dope. But what do you think?
