“Mortal Kombat” movie changes HBO Max + Cinema release date; trailer incoming

WB Pictures delivered a whammy when it unveiled its plans to release its 2021 movie roster on HBO Max streaming. Now though this seems to be happening there has been a rejigging of release dates, as the ones aforementioned are all subject to change.
It is however the Mortal Kombat movie that gets the first date tweak. Originally, it was stated that we could expect to see the movie on HBO Max and cinema as early as January 15, 2021. The date now, however, has been pushed back to April 16, 2021.
This was revealed via the official movie Twitter account, complete with our first candid look at the logo treatment for the movie:
A trailer is slated to also be released very soon. More on that as things develop.
