And whilst the future of DC Studios hangs in the balance with big bank/little bank tactics of the recent Netflix acquisition, the next film in the roster of Gods And Monsters brings Supergirl to the forefront. And if you have seen Superman, then that should be a good indication of what to expect with this trailer. Planet hopping, party alien with Gunn humour and Rick And Morty-esque vibes.

Throw in the bounty hunter Lobo, (a short clip, but boy, if the frame and glowing cigar wasnot the coolest giveaway) and an overpowered blonde who has more PTSD than a Vietnam vet, you get a semblance of a narrative that at very least piques your interest for the story’s direction. Right up until you remember that Superman and Kryptonians were sent not as Moses but Viltrumites to decimate and conquer Earth
