Riding high on the favourbale outing of the current Superman ins film doing its debut in the cinemas and theatres of the globe, James Gunn capitalised on the moment to further extend the frenzy of DC fandom with the announcement of another DC project pivoting off one of the more memorable cameos hailing from the Superman movie.

And surely giving a more rebel vibe carrying on from her introduction, it looks like the DC universe will be a truly irreverent, campy 10-year excursion.

And the Supergirl movie is slated for release in 2026.
