Duncan Jones’ directed “Rogue Trooper” release first-look stills from the upcoming film

This one has been in the pipeline for quite the moment. However now things have taken gigantic leaps towards fruition as Rebellion and director Duncan Jones gives us a sneak peek at the upcoming Rogue Trooper movie via first look stills.

And they certainly give off that 1950’s sci-fi magazine cover aesthetic. Rogue Trooper sees Aneurin Barnard (Doctor Who) star as a lone survivor super soldier on a mission for vengeance — accompanied, naturally, by a sentient gun, backpack, and helmet imbued with his dead fellow squaddies’ personalities. Now, that’s quite the kit. And when you are the only surviving member of an invasion force on Nu Earth, much thanks to the one that betrayed your team, you cna only imagine the levels you will go to for revenge.

The Rogue Trooper movie is crafted using Epic Games’ cutting edge Unreal Engine 5.

And with Duncan Jones’ flurry into the cerebral sci-fi genre with the likes of Moon and Mute, it seems the Rebellion sci-fi comic IP is in good hands.
