Netflix teases the blood-engorged rise of Richter Belmont in new “Castlevania: Nocturne” trailer
“I pray for you, Richter Belmont.”
The new trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne is blackened and caked over with blood, as the legend that begun the franchise – Richter Belmont – may be just out of reach of any form of salvation that exists outside of his own hands and crack of the whip.
Marked for death by the Vampiric elite, Belmont finds himself fighting for his very existence against a steely hand that lies behind the curtain, pulling the strings in the shadows during the French Revolution. But what the Vampires do not seem to appreciate is violent change does not just make fodder of the weak, but it also fortifies the destiny of legends.
By far the most cinematic and emotive trailer we’ve seen for a Netflix Castlevania animation, it packs a punch and visual impetus with each edit. Destiny’s promise is bright even as the eclipse devours the very light from the sun.
