Earthrealm is ushered into a new era with the announcement trailer for “Mortal Kombat 1”

Judging from the original teases, it looks like that jumps to 1 on the clock face was no blip at all, as NetherRealm Studios gives fans an update they can sink their talons into.

The announcement trailer for the forthcoming Mortal Kombat 1 drops on the internet as we are made to rise with the sun as we bask in the glow of a new dawn for the beat ’em up classic.

And yes, we will always defy peace.

Description reads:

A new era has begun. It’s In Our Blood. Discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. Mortal Kombat 1 ushers in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and Fatalities! PlayStation and Xbox players will also receive Beta access, available in August.
