With Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda, on the slight controversy that saw a once multi-platform game now become an Xbox exclusive, it was evident domination is the goal behind the latest power move from the tech giant.

Now news hits the gamersphere that the coming Starfield game (developed by Bethesda Game Studios) as well as Redfall (developed by Arkane Austin) is to be delayed until year 2023. Redfall, the co-op set in a post-apocalyptic town taking the fight to vampires was originally set to hit shelves in summer 2022.

The reasons cited for the game is to allow time to polish and deliver the best possible game experience. Which is a good enough reason as any. We’re sure there is some red tape residue from the acquisition is involved, but who are we to assume?

And it looks like a candid look into gameplay is on the way, as their official statement mentioned a ‘deep-dive’ was coming ‘soon’.

More as things develop.
