Backwards compatibility has been a yearned but oft dismissed ability when it comes to every succeeding next-generation console platform. However, it seems Playstation 5 has plans to change all that. In a greatly received statement, Sony has announced that 4000+ PS4 game titles will be playable on the PS5.
Initially, Sony previously stated however suggested that “almost all” of the 100 most played PS4 games would be playable on the PS5 at launch, which did not sound as promising. That is when Sony clarified that over 4000+ PS4 titles would be playable on the PS5.
Not only that, but the Playstation 5 will potentially run PS4 games at higher, more stable framerates and higher resolution. This is due to the fact that PS5 sporting boosted frequencies, which was partly the reason for the delay in support for all PS4 titles.
It would seem PS5 is slowly building there profile to give Xbox X Series a run for their proverbial (and literal) money.
