Nothing can be more frustrating than banging away at a game only to have the recurring, soul-crushing screen title come up quantifying your failure in a now-hypnotising melody accompanied by bold, often red text.

And that’s even when you do not die, those title screens can take over the screen saying you abandoned some AI-controlled friends in the midst of battle when you just so happen to lose your bearing for a few seconds.

So if this is something that irritates you about gaming on a whole, it may be that Cyberpunk 2077 will spark even more interest in you with this bit of detail. There will be no game over screens when on mission in Cyberpunk 2077. And that is no matter how badly you mess up a mission. Just like in life. We can get behind this.

Now this is not to say you’ll be awarded for fucking up. It just means there will be consequences for messing up later down the timeline. Just like in life too. A great teaching tool all around then.
