Riverdale becomes prime hunting ground once again with “Archie vs. Predator II” comic mini-series

Normally Archie time is occupied with juggling the love and affections of Veronica and Betty, the greatest love triangle of all time. But in the coming comic series, the quaint little town of Riverdale is set to be turned into a hunting reservation as the greatest alien hunter returns from some payback. And by alien hunter we mean the one and only Predator. Yes, that Predator. And the series is Archie Vs. Predator II.

Alex de Campi returns as the writer on the 2015 comic book series sequel – Archie Vs. Predator II, joined by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina-artist Robert Hack joining for a “meta-commentary on corporate franchise reboots.”

Alex spoke on her role creating the narrative direction for the sequel:

I think as anyone who read the first AvP knows, I’m a huge fan of both franchises, and it’s massively important to me that both Archie and Predator fans feel like I’m handling their babies with love and respect and knowledge. My goal is always to deliver a great Archie comic — with the humor, teen drama and romance we love from Riverdale’s finest — as well as a great Predator comic, with the scares and violence you want from the galaxy’s most dangerous hunters.
