“Sons of Anarchy” actor Ryan Hurst is set to join “The Walking Dead”

Sons Of Anarchy actor Ryan Hurst (that’s Opie to you) is shaking of the leather for a whole new type of animal hide when he joins the cast of AMC + Skybound’s The Walking Dead TV series in Season 9.

He is set to be playing the recurring character called Beta, the second in command of the Whisperers. Now the Whisperers are in the comics a quaint group of folk that have the tendency to walk among the living dead dressed in suits comprised of the carcasses of human flesh. Nice.

It’s also been recently announced Fantastic Beasts’ Samantha Morton will play the Whisperers leader, Alpha, and Ozark’s Cassidy McClincy is playing her daughter, Lydia.

Something to cheer you up seeing that Carl, Rick and Lauren are leaving the show.
