As Captain Marvel awaits its debut in what surely is a new age in the Marvel Universe, news of casting for the Marvel Studios’ feature film has surfaced. This time, actor Annette Bening has joined the cast.
Bening is likely set to play Captain Marvel’s mommy dearest in the film. Or hopefully, it is Helen Cobb, which would seem like the meatier role. Cobb is a mentor of Carol whilst she was in the Air Force in the comics.
Annette Bening will join cast members of Captain Marvel, starring alongside Brie Larson, the lead who will be portraying the titular character Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel as well as alongside actor Jude Law as Mar Vell. Samuel Jackson is also up to return as Nick Fury and DeWanda Wise as (possibly) Monica Rambeau. Ben Mendelsohn and Gemma Chan are also on board.
Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are directing Captain Marvel, with Kevin Feige producing.
Captain Marvel is slated for release in cinemas come April 8th 2019
