DC Comics seeks to step up its animation muscle with the recently announced Batman anime title – Batman Ninja. Now fans get their first taste of the visuals following the release of the initial teaser poster art with another poster and a full-fledged trailer.

The anime project recruited some heavy hitters in the anime world, with creators who have worked on titles like Psycho-Pass and Afro-Samurai have put in the work to bring a fusion of techno-feudal Batman gone Far East to the screen. This includes the director Jumpei Mizusaki, character designer Takashi Okazaki, screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima and English-language screenwriters Leo Chu & Eric Garcia as well as others

And we have some, interestingly, instantly recognisable characters hailing from the DC Universe who’ve also come to play.
