Say what you want about the current state of the DCEU, DC Comics has been a lot more consistent in the animation front alongside WB Animation. And things seem to be escalated with details of a Batman anime being in the works
Official details were just released ahead of this year’s NYCC, where more news of the project will be made available to the public.
Warner Bros. Japan and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment team are set to premiere footage from the anime, which is described as an imaginative take on Batman and many of his connected characters. Panelists will include director Jumpei Mizusaki, character designer Takashi Okazaki, screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima, English-language screenwriters Leo Chu & Eric Garcia and some potential special guests.
And seeing Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki is involved, well, things seem to be looking up for DC in the animation department.
Batman Ninja anime feature is slated for release in 2018
