After TNT’s Teen Titan and by extension the hopes of seeing a live-action version Nightwing went down the drain, we were left in a bit of a pits. But WB has the cure… well the news anyway.

A live-action Nightwing feature is most certainly in the works, with Chris McKay putting himself up as director, lego block-building on his reputation with the Lego Batman Movie and DC Franchise, no doubt.
Nightwing in the comics is portrayed by Dick Grayson, the former Robin who leaves under Batman wing (or more like thumb) to branch off and fight crime his own way.
Bill Dubuque, who wrote The Accountant, is writing the Nightwing script.

But here is, as always, the kicker. The project is part of Warner Bros.’ DC Extended Universe which retrograde-started in 2013 with the Man of Steel movie by Zack Snyder. And with The Batman being here then there (finally getting a director attached), DC seems to be adding fuel to a conflagration rather than a bonfire.
But in any case, we definitely do want to see the guy in action. And it also begs the question if he’ll be set to get an introduction before the prospective Nightwing feature?
