“Constantine” is back… as an animation on CW Seed

It has been confirmed by the CW that Constantine has been picked up by its online network CW Seed as an animated series.
 

The announcement was made during its Television Critics Association panel, and the series has already employed the voice of Matt Ryan, who played the titular character in the cult, short-lived NBC series.

The series will join the ever-growing canon of DC animated series on CW Seed, including Vixen and Freedom Fighters: The Ray.

So it looks like mysticism and the occult is back on for DC. What this will spell for fans and the future of Constantine both in terms of television and cinema is still anyone’s guess.
