Marvel pulls Iron Man / Ironheart ‘Controversial’ cover

Marvel put and then pulled cover art above for the new embodiment of Ironheart aka Riri Williams, the 15 y-o black girl successor to Iron Man.

But the artist, J. Scott Campbell has received some backlash for his depiction of the not-yet-legal hero as being ‘sexed up’.

And, the first rule of Internetdom, don’t defend the indefendable, or apologise for intent. But Campbell tried his best and the internet responded with a flurry of images of how Riri should look under the umbrella hashtag #TeensThatLookLikeTeens. Some of which are pretty dope.
