“Booster Gold” film won’t share connection to Snyder’s DCEU
It seems that Booster Gold movie is very much in the works, and Arrow and The Flash’s Greg Berlanti is set to herald the film into our reality.
But in a interview with Vulture, Berlanti offered up a bit of extra news on the DC project- it will not have a connection to the current Snyder-DCEU:
As of right now we have no connective tissue to those worlds. It’d be a separate thing.
So no connection to the slew of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman and Justice League, all of which hinge on Snyder’s rosetta stone DC film Man of Steel.
Which, in all honestly, is the best news one could ask for.
Greg Berlanti also confirmed the Booster Gold movie spawned from the failed attempt to launch a Booster Gold TV series that was slated to air on SyFy.
Which is also the best news one could ask for.
Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg got into talks with Geoff Johns, DC’s new president and co-chief of the films, when the idea of doing a Booster Gold movie came up. Johns also happened to write a Booster Gold comic book series for DC Comics.
No news on when production starts or release dates.
