The Electronic Entertainment Expo event in Los Angeles is set to provide an opportunity to view gameplay footage for the upcoming shooter.

News also surfaced that the game will be using a heavily modified but old engine in the creation of Infinite Warfare. An old engine that has been used in the creation of previous titles, adding fuel to the controversy fire of COD‘s repetitious sci-fi narratives and not listening to fans who essentially wanted what Battlefield 1 is presenting them. Not to mention that the Launch trailer for Infinite Warfare is the most disliked game trailer of its kind.

Here’s what the games designer had to say during an interview with AusGamers:

In the last three years, we have made continual improvements to our tech, we have overhauled our animation engine, physics, AI system, NPC behaviors and more. We are doing a lot that has never been done in the series before, like seamless, streaming level transition, for instance, that allow us to go from ground combat to space and then inside our hub as a continual experience, so we needed to re-engineer our systems to deliver on that vision.
