Walt Disney Pictures looks likes they’re bossing in the film rights acquiring game, this time getting the rights to graphic novel series.

The studio is set to develop a live-action film based on the Delilah Dirk and The Turkish Lieutenant title, written and illustrated by Tony Cliff. The story follows Delilah, whose pretty much Lara Croft, Indiana Jones and Nathan Drake wrapped up into one hella bad-ass female.

Something to rival Tomb Raider then, Disney. Just don’t make it something we can’t differentiate. After all Delilah Dirk adventures resonated with many fans. Whether Disney’ll go down the ‘Brave’ root or more filmic and surprisingly mature route is still up for debate.

More news as things develop.
