Zendaya cast in key role for Sony + Marvel’s “Spider-Man”

Actress/Singer Zendaya looks to be entering the arena of Sony and Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man film.

Zendaya is set to play Michelle, a character that doesn’t seem congenital to Spider-Man’s origins but is reported to fill a “key role” in the feature. No other details on the role other than Michelle is not a love interest of Peter Parker.

Zendaya will be starring alongside Tom Holland, Marvel’s youngest representation of Spider-Man on screen to date.
