The rumour mill is churning in DC, as, according to Bleeding Cool, there could possibly be a crossover event between CW’s The Flash and CBS’ Supergirl. Crossover events aren’t anything new, with the triple crossover event “Heroes Join Forces” bringing together The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. These crossover event however were of CW titles, so internal and wouldn’t contain as much problems getting the rights to do as you could imagine CW’s Arrow and NBC’s Constantine crossover did.
CBS’ Supergirl was initially ordered for thirteen episodes with an option for nine more to complete a twenty-two episode season.
Apparently Supergirl‘s ratings have tanked a bit after not being aired after The Big Bang Theory anymore, so whilst a crossover event would help her out, it seems the DC heroine needs to focus more on her development as a character before thinking of grafting her with other semi-‘well’-established hero universes.
“So what do you guys think? is the Supergirl crossover true… or even warranted? Is this any different from what ‘Arrow’ did for ‘The Flash’? Or do you think ‘Supergirl’ can stand on her own? Let us know what you guys think in the comment section below”
