This post is another one of those “oh what could have been”. As it turns out, the infamous anime Ninja Scroll has been in the works on and off to be made into a live-action film in Hollywood. We’re talking since 2008. The Watchmen writer Alex Tse put together a script, but all advancement since them seemed to be on permanent hold.
A proof concept video was released by Dracula Untold‘s Gary Shore, who seemed set to direct the adaptation. He was working on the project as little as three years ago, creating this neat vid with stunt work by 87 Eleven and the animation created by The Third Floor.
