Sony seems to be getting their hands on the film rights of a few comics recently with acquiring The Descender a few days ago. This time they acquired the film rights to Scott McCloud’s The Sculptor.
The graphic novel was released only early this month, published by First Second Books. The narrative in the book details the story of David Smith (the plainest name anyone could ever be given). Well, this here Smith made a pact with the Death, and, as a result only has 200 days to live. But on the plus side, he can sculpt and bring to life anything his whim commands.
Hollywood veteran Scott Rudin is attached to produce The Sculptor.
