Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince is a piece of literature that has been adapted 7 ways to hell. Operas, ballets, film… so how about an(other) animation. The result: this trailer for Le Petit Prince.
And the result is quite appeasing; the use of the typical CG is counterbalanced with an albeit unique papercraft animation technique in the telling the story of the prince. Which is pretty ballsy for a cinematic release, so we can get behind that. We are all fans of heraldry. And French is supposedly the romantic language of the world. And seeing it will premiere in France, you’ll definitely need a English-French translation dictionary.
The voice actors include Rachel McAdams, James Franco, Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, Ricky Gervais, and Benicio del Toro.
