Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger has revealed the name of the coming Disney streaming service. Its name – Disney+.

Announced during a live audio webcast of Disney’s fiscal full year and fourth quarter 2018 financial results, Iger confirmed the name of Disney+ and that it is still scheduled to launch in late 2019.

Alongside the name announcement, Iger confirmed that a second Star Wars live-action series was in development at Lucasfilm for Disney+ and that it will be a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

No this has been in the works for a while understandably, and with the consumption of 20th Century Fox, alongside Marvel and Star Wars, not to mention the extensive canon of Disney animations, movies and series, it seems world domination of entertainment has a banner.

And it also looks like they are set to launch with the Loki series rumoured earlier too. So, things seem on track for the entertainment giant.
