TOM CLANCY'S RAINBOW 6: SIEGE. THE ACTION PIXEL. @THEACTIONPIXEL UBISOFTRainbow Six Siege sees the stealth FPS franchise back in the mix of things, looking to breach, blast and barrage its way through hostage situations and enemy strongholds. But of course there is a catch.

mute Rainbow 6 Siege. the action pixel @theactionpixelRemember those single player campaigns you used to play that had a story mode where you could explore the ins and outs of the game while keeping entertained before heading to online gameplay? Well, erase that from your memory as art director of the game, Scott Mitchell, divulged there will be no single player experience in the coming Rainbow Six Siege:

There is no story mode per se. You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps. You can customise matches, so that’s what we’re offering on the single-player side of things.

As if in an attempt to find out how many gamers have friends with flexible working hours who play video games and will own Rainbow Six Siege, the absence of a single player mode seems a bit far left field. Even with the customisable matches, would that be enough to fill the void?

Only (a well) time(d device) will tell.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC come December 1st 2015
