supergirl. cbs. dc comics. the action pixel @theactionpixelAfter the trailer for CBS’ Supergirl hits the web, the internet has erupted with criticism both for and agains the Kryptonian.

But its seems it doesn’t stop there. Their has been a leak of Episode 1 of Supergirl, in HD, no watermarks, floating around on the internet 6 months prior to when the series is supposed to air.

Coincidence? Part of us thinks not; this could be CBS trying to counteracting their abissmal trailer editting skills. But nontheless after seeing the pilot, as we suspected, the Special FX were good to great. But the best is surely to come from the resulting drinking games where everyone takes a shot when Kara says “my cousin”.

Now comes SPOILERS of sorts:
The episode starts of with an origins story, where Kara makes a hasty Moses basket retreat from imploding Krypton to protect her baby cousin on earth before being thrust into the phantom zone by shockwaves from her exploding homeworld.

She bounces around there for a while before coming to earth and being rescued by a fully grown Supes (in the phantom zone for years, Kara was in stasis and did not age).

If the first episode is anything to go by, it is not as bad as the trailer made it out to be. It really isn’t. Supergirl does have its moments, but any betterment is only up by a few notches. For every good moment, there is at least two corny, contrived ones.
