Sony reveals Venom’s official rating + runtime.
Many of you voted for Sony Pictures to push for a R-rating for the coming Venom movie, but in classic fashion, you guys won’t be getting everything you ever wanted. News hits the proverbial fan that Venom will be rated PG-13.
Now this could be considered ‘good’ news; rumour has it that Venom may yet (again) be connected to not only MCU/Sony’s Spider-Man, but the current MCU. So a hard R wouldn’t fit into Disney’s family-friendly vanilla canon.
It’s well known that Sony wants to connect Venom to the Avengers, and that Tom Hardy and director Ruben Fleischer are injecting humor into the film.
Additionally, the run-time for Venom is around 1 hour and 52 minutes.
Venom is directed by Ruben Fleischer and stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock (Venom). The film will also feature Carnage.
Venom is slated for cinematic release come October 5th 2018
