Marc Maron confirms himself and legendary actor Robert DeNiro for DC Comics’ “The Joker” standalone film

Netlfix’s Glow actor and comedian Marc Maron has unveiled various interesting pieces of news as it relates to the strong trajectory of the DC Universe aka The Joker standalone film. The comedian confirmed his selection to appear in the coming Joker origin movie, as well as confirming another actor, aside from Joaquin Phoenix, he’ll be starring with. Came in a few stuff. Raging Bull. Goodfellas.Stuff like that. The one and only Robert DeNiro.

Here’s what Maron had to say about the news:

It is true people. It is true ladies and gentlemen, I have been added to the cast of the new Joker movie being directed by Todd Phillips, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro. Two of the greatest actors that have ever graced the screen.”

The Joker film is reportedly set in the 1980’s, the Joker tale will be “exploration of a man disregarded by society [that[ is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale”.
