It seems that the Joker origins film is taking wings over at the WB, as the prolific DC villain portrayal may having A-list caliber in its crosshairs.

Pictures seemingly playing off of the relationship Martin Scorcese has with the actor. Scorcese, of course being the producer of the Origins movie may have a considerable pull to convince Di Caprio on being part of the production.

Jared Leto, who’s played the Joker in Suicide Squad and is up to play the villain in the sequel and yet another DC spin-off movie along with Harley Quinn is understandably not too happy about the news.

Multiple Jokers existing in the same cinematic place isn’t ideal, but it may be the only way for the WB to re-enter Oscar territory with a DC comic film. But in any case, DiCaprio will need some major convincing, as his brand seems more geared towards tradition, non-franchise narratives. And even if Scorcese pulls some harp strings, it is no guarantee that things won’t fall apart if ‘creative differences’ take hold later down the line like it did when Snyder’s Man Of Steel had the caliber of Christopher Nolan producing.

“And whilst DiCaprio is a world class actor, do you see him going full make-up? What are your thoughts? Tell us in the comments, Twitter and Facebook”
