DC’s all-fem villains film “Gotham City Sirens” announced

Gotham City Sirens. That’s the title of the much fabled all-fem cast that spawned off the relative success of Suicide Squad and Robbie’s Harley Quinn character.

Suicide Squad‘s David Ayer will direct and produce the project with Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn, the part-time girlfriend of the Joker who is currently DC’s most popular female character. Robbie also is executive producing.
 

And it seems via the title that the film may be inspired by DC Comics Gotham City Sirens series which had the femme fatales of Gotham kicking ass including Catwoman and Poison Ivy. Who knows what could happen between these vixens…

Geneva Robertson-Dworet, a top female writer in the action sphere who also has penned scripts for the Tomb Raider remake and Warners’ own Sherlock Holmes 3, is writing the screenplay.

So all in all it should be interesting to see how things develop from here on out.
