The Devil may be looking to turn his back on Hell’s Kitchen as God did to the world in the darkest hour of Jesus’ crucifixion, as the blood-red teaser poster image gets broadcasted across Daredevil socials. The poster is baptised in red, and shows the iconic Daredevil cowl cropped on a gravestone cross. Check it out:
And if you are into your Bible verses, the only accompanying text in the post was Job 30:26, which reads:
Yet when I hoped for good, evil came; when I looked for light, then came darkness.
Looks like this third season will be dipping into their Catholic/ Biblical bag. And judging from the the anchorage “Let there be darkness” as well as the teaser for Season 3, it looks like Matt may not be seeing things better through the eyes of vigilante or lawyer.
Now we just need that release date.
The narrative of Daredevil Season 3 takes inspiration from the comic book narrative arc – “Born Again”. Cox also continues by saying any adaptation would not be verbatim, but likely to take key elements that will be infused in a new story:
There may be elements from ‘Born Again’, but I’m sure there will be elements that are unfamiliar and surprising and different in order for the show to be compelling to fans who know the comics very well. If we start making ‘Born Again’ page-for-page, then the people who have read it and loved it — the hardcore fans — they won’t have too much drama.
