Daredevil Season 3 looks like it will have Matt Murdock snug in the crosshairs of a reticle with news of the new nemesis teased. Actor Wilson Bethel has been confirmed for the role of Bullseye.

The news comes via an Instagram post (since deleted) from the fitness trainer getting Daredevil’s Charlie Cox and Bethel fit for Season 3:

This news follows the casting of Jay Ali and Sister Maggie and the return of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk.

The narrative of Daredevil Season 3 takes inspiration from the comic book narrative arc – “Born Again”. Cox also continues by saying any adaptation would not be verbatim, but likely to take key elements that will be infused in a new story:

There may be elements from ‘Born Again’, but I’m sure there will be elements that are unfamiliar and surprising and different in order for the show to be compelling to fans who know the comics very well. If we start making ‘Born Again’ page-for-page, then the people who have read it and loved it — the hardcore fans — they won’t have too much drama.

Daredevil Season 3 is slated for release in 2018
