Marvel Studio’s “Black Widow” begins production in 2019; release year revealed
In conjunction with the news of Marvel TV bringing the Vision and The Scarlet Witch to the Disney streaming service Disney+, news about Scarlet Johansson’s Black Widow planned solo film for the Marvel Cinematic Universe has also been revealed.
It is learnt that Black Widow is set to begin production in 2019, with the official release year occurring in 2020. As for the specific release date that is still unknown. But, if the recently released premiere dates of yet untitled Marvel films for 2020 is any indication, we may be seeing Black Widow circa March 13, 2020, June 26, 2020, or October 2, 2020. In any case, dates are never set in stone and are prone for alterations, being pushed back/forward as new projects and deadlines arise. So long story short, it is best thing to wait for the official word.
As reported earlier this year, Cate Shortland is set to direct the Marvel film.
