attack on titan Eren, armoured titan. the action pixel. @theactionpixelIf you thought the Universal Attractions, manga, anime series, Live-Action film and Nintendo game weren’t enough to sedate your sanguine hunger for Attack On Titan (and Mikasa), we would say you are right.

As such, Japan seems to be powering through with the popular franchise setting out to make a live-action series based on the work of Hajime Isayama.

But not to worry if you feel things are moving too fast or it will mess with the live-action films’ feng sui or timeline, as the series is set to be part of and tie-in with the Attack On Titan film universe. For one, director Shinji Higuchi, who directs the feature films set for cinema, is also spearheading the Attack On Titan Tv Series.

Even the actors in the feature will be making a return to the franchise re: the tv series; actress Satomi Ishihara will reprise her role as Hanji, telling “a new story about the everyday lives and secrets of soldiers, and will tie in to the two live-action films.”

You can also expect to see Nanami Sakuraba take back her role as Sasha, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Rina Takeda as Lil, and Ayame Misaki as Hiana. So this all seems like a calculated, deliberate move for a fuller Attack On Titan experience.

Yūta Hiraoka, set to play a new character, is set to join the cast as well.

Attack On Titan TV series will streaming on dTV beginning August 2015
Attack On Titan films two live-action films are due out in July and August respectively
