the economics of evolution: the perfect pigeon. @TheActionPixel. the action pixelWith all that’s happening in the world of business, with all the hacking of ‘secure’ computer systems and leaking of information theft of intellectual propriety, its amazing Sony businesses manage to stay affloat.

Pharmeceutical companies, with patents currently running out for their big branded drugs, are constantly under threat from rival companies trying to nab their formula and patented information. So what’s the best way to preserve a company’s security and intellectual property? Apparently, its not as complex as servers, of some other computer techno-speak. We’re talking biological set up. Something a medieval king would use. Pigeons.

The animation The Economics of Evolution: The Perfect Pigeon is part of Studio PSK’s award winning art project, and illustrates simply and succinctly the important role Pigeons play in the relay of sensitive information. Really amazing in fact. Amy Pascal could use a pigeon or 100. Using a bright, colourful flat palette, the animation compliments the narrative and the simplicity of this form of communication that essentially has been made convolute and overly complicated through ‘advancements’ in technology.
