Puny Humans! behold the return of earth’s rightful ruler – Invader Zim!

It was in 2001 when Jhonen Vasquez’s cult classic animated series Invader Zim made it’s prolific debut on Nickolodeon, easily whipping up a frenzy of cultish fans and equally inspired fan art.

Now in 2017, after a long hiatus, the little green guy with the bhurgundy red eyes is back in a colossal way.

Nickelodeon has released the first ever official teaser trailer for Invader Zim Returns, their just-announced feature film.

Course those familiar with Invader Zim know about this little guy from the planet of the Tallest who is tasked with taking over the Earth along with his equally dimwitted side-kick robot Gir. Comedy gold we assure you.
 
And the teaser promises us an invasion soon(ish), so we’re pretty much touching ourselves in glee.
