ACME WAREHOUSE. LOONEY TOONS. THE ACTION PIXEL. @THEACTIONPIXELLooney Toons’ most evil corporation on the planet is about to be immortalised in a WB film. If you are familiar with those wacky devices used by the likes of Wile E. Coyote, then you definitely know about the Acme Corporation, the home of disastrously malfunctioning equipment, but surprisingly super-speedy delivery. ACME’s like Walmart, but with way better stuff, from catapults, rockets, traps and … Earthquake Pills.

Producer Dan Lin had this to say about the project:

We’re not going to use Looney Toons in the ACME movie, it’s a live action movie. What were so excited about is the lead character is a Steve Jobs meets Dean Cameron kind of character and because it’s ACME you can create some incredibly funny, wacky inventions that you can’t do on any other movie. So naturally it’s just a super imaginative movie.

The narrative won’t be focused around the Looney Toons’ All-Stars like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, although we expect them and other to make some well placed cameos. Sources say the film will be a animated / live-action hybrid like the glory days of Space Jam, and with Marvel’s X-Men: First Class writers drafted to bring the acme narrative to life, we may see a revival of the Looney Toons universe. Our hope the WB follows in the footsteps of the LEGO Movie, paying tribute to the source material and spurring on new narratives.
