It looks like we’re about to get more fantasy mayhem for our bucks with recent news coming from the guys behind Adventure Time Castlevania.

Promising a hyper-violent series, it is speculated that Fred Seibert current ‘untitled’ animation project is Castlevania.

Seibert, known for Adventure Time on CN, confirmed however that it will be based on “one of the most world-famous video games of the last 30 years”. The show will be produced under the Frederator Studios banner. The company is not only responsible for Adventure Time, but also gave the world The Fairly OddParents.

Castlevania, known in Japan as Akumajō Dracula, is a series of dark fantasy-themed action-adventure video games created and developed by Konami, centering on the Belmont family, a clan of vampire hunters, and their fight with Dracula.

Paul W. S. Anderson, the guy behind the Resident Evil movie franchise, was set to make a Castlevania movie in 2005. But the usual Production delay back in 2007, changing of hands and ultimate cancellation took place.

So maybe Castlevania taking on animated form is destiny fulfilled.
